Maximus / Aesculapius and Salus from Deultum
« on: May 23, 2009, 07:59:12 am »
Here's a perfectly presentable specimen of a coin not in Varbanov (Bulg.) or, apparently, Jurukova, though Macrinus and Diadumenian both have the reverse-type; anyone have a reference for this one?

Not in SNG Bulgaria, Deultum either.  Not suprising though, I have two Maximus' from Deultum that aren't listed there.

Nor Draganov, Coinage of Deultum (2007), where, p. 128, he says that only two dies show A. and H. together: these are rev. nos. 410 (shared by Macrinus and Diadumenian) and 411 (for Philip I).
