While it's a great idea, it is a mammoth task - A quick count of the coins bearing Diadumenian's image that I managed to track down show that there are over 140 die combinations and different types that are not listed in H/J's book and that just covers that small area.

I'm not suggesting a die study or cataloging die links!  I'm too old for that and would never see it finished.  H&J's format is to assemble reverse types for each ruler.  I had hoped that we could supplement these groupings with new reverse dies or new reverse types.  Altogether it will be a vast undertaking but note that I am only contributing examples of the Severan family!  Whether we get significant additions for the Macrini or Gordian III, for example, will eventually determine the scope and usefulness of the project.  Advanced collectors like yourself were not meant to be burdened by an expectation to post half of your collection!  Cheers, T.

Elagabal AD 218-222
AE 25, 8.85g, 225°
struck under governor Iulius Antonius Seleucus
obv. AVT KM AVRH - ANTWNEINOC AVG (AVG ligate)
Bust, laureate, r.
rev. VP.IOVL.ANT.CELE - VKOV MARKIANOPO / LITWN (WN ligate)
Abundantia (or Annona?) stg. frontal, head l., holding cornucopiae l. and corn-
ears r.
AMNG I/1, 860 (like Nr.5, Paris Mionnet, but has no dots), rev.iII, pl.XIX.1 (same die); not in Hristova/Jekov; Varbanov (engl.) 1568 var. (without AVG); SNG Cop. 232 (same dies both sides, Curtis Clay)
very rare, VF/good VF, nice green patina
ex coll. Hoeft

This type is listed by Hristova/Jekov under Demeter as No. 6.26.5.6. But this coin has a different obv. with the rare legend with AVG at the end, and different legend breaks on the rev.

Elagabal AD 218-222
AE 26, 10.22g, 180°
struck under governor Iulius Antonius Seleucus
obv. AVT.KM.AVRH - ANTWNEINOC
bust, laureate, r.
rev. VP [IOVL ANT CEL] - EVKOV MARKIANOPO / LITWN (WN ligate)
female figure, in long chiton and with kalathos, stg. l., holding cornucopiae and
two corn-ears downwards in outstretched r. hand (Abundantia or Annona?)
not in AMNG: AMNG I/1, 860 var. (rev., depiction, without kalathos), AMNG I/1, 850 (rev., legend), AMNG I/1, 860 (obv.); not in Hristova/Jekov; Varbanov (engl.) 1568
Very rare, about VF, glossy dark-brown patina
ex coll. Hoeft

This is a variant of the previous coin. Again with a different obv. and slightly different legend on the rev. Hristova/Jekov has listed this types under Demeter as No. 6.26.5.6.

Severus Alexander AD 222-235
AE 26, 9.6g, 225°
struck under governor Umbrius Tereventinus
obv. AVT KM AVR CEVH - ALEZANDROC
bust, draped and cuirassed, seen from behind, laureate, r.
rev. HG OVM TEREBENTINOV MARKIANOPOLIT / WN (HG, OV, AR ligate)
Hermes, nude, stg. frontal, head l., chlamys over l. arm, holding kerykeion in l.
arm and purse in r. hand.
AMNG I/1, 1026 var. (rev., has TWN in ex.), AMNG I/1, 1027; not in Hristova/Jekov; not in Varbanov (engl.); cf. BMC 76 (has 'head laureate, r.' and WN on rev. ligate)
(Thanks to Pat Lawrence, Steve Minnoch and Curtis Clay!)
very rare, about VF
ex coll. Hoeft

Note: A new bust variety of a rare reverse type! As Pick points out, Tereventinus is the only governor of Lower Moesia from Sept. Sev. on, whose name is preceded by HG(EMONEVONTOC) rather than VP(ATEVONTOC), apparently because he exceptionally governed the province as an ex-praetor rather than as an ex-consul. (Curtis Clay)

In Hristova/Jekov is no coin of Tereventinus listed with Hermes rev.!

This is an interesting coin:

Elagabal, AD 218-222
AE 25, 8.34g, 190°
struck under governor Iulius Antonius Seleucus
obv. AVT KM AVRHLI - ANTWNEINOC
Bust, draped and cuirassed, seen from behind, laureate, r.
rev. VP IOVL ANT CELEVKOV MARKIANOPOLIT / WN (OV of IOVL ligate)
Apollo (or Bonus Events), nude, stg. l. sacrificing from patera in r. hand over
flaming altar l. and holding grain-ears in lowered l. hand
not in AMNG: AMNG I/1, 822 var. (rev., depiction, but with branch!), AMNG I/1, 823 (rev., legend), AMNG I/1, 822; Hristova/Jekov No.6.26.7.1 (sadly without a pic); Varbanov (eng.) 1511 var. (cites AMNG 822, but in error Moushmov 810; it should be Moushmov 608, pl.VI, 9, but has the usual branch!)
very rare, F+, green patina
ex coll. Hoeft

AMNG I/1, 822 is Apollo holding branch. But here we have obviously grain-ears! So it is rather Bonus Eventus than Apollo. With this different depiction this type can not subsumed under AMNG 822. Hristova/Jekov cites AMNG 822 and called it Apollo too, but without a pic.

So we have a new type, not in AMNG nor in Hristova/Jekov. Bonus Eventus is known for Elagabal & Julia Soaemia No. 6.27.7.1

Elagabal AD 218-222
AE 26, 10.89g, 0°
struck under governor Iulius Antonius Seleucus
obv. AVT KM AVRHLI. - ANT[WNEIN]OC AVG
bust, draped and cuirassed, seen from behind, laureate, r.
rev. VP IOVL ANT CELEVKOV MARKIANOPOLI / TWN
Hera, in long garment, stg. l., holding sceptre l. and patera in outstretched r. hand
not in AMNG: AMNG I/1, 813 (rev., depiction), AMNG I/1, 849 var. (= 861 var.) (rev., legend, but with dots and square E), AMNG I/1, 817 (obv., bust), AMNG I/1, 813 var. (obv., legend, but without AVG; Hristova/Jekov No.6.26.3.4 (cites AMNG 817!); Varbanov (engl.) 1571 (PC, unpublished); SNG Budapest 167
about VF, dark-green patina
ex coll. Hoeft

With AVG in the obv. legend this coin should be Hristova/Jekov No. 6.26.3.4, and the pic looks like my coin. But the description doesn't match this pic in H&R!

There is another error: The next types of Titianus are listed with the same numbers like those of Seleucus as No. 6.26.3.4-9!

Philip I & Otacilia Severa, AD 244-249
AE 27, 12.28g, 225°
struck under governor Prastina Messalinus
obv. [AVT M IOVL FI]LIPPOC AVG M WTAK / CEB[HRAC]
Confronted busts of Philip I, draped and cuirassed, seen from behind, laureate, r., and
Otacilia Severa, draped and diademed, l.
rev. VP PRACT MECCALLEINOV MARKIANOPOLEITWN
Hermes, nude, stg. crooked l., looking facing, r. foot set on ram's head, l. arm with chlamys
resting on r. knee; between his feet turtle on ground, behind him tree stump with caduceus before
in r. field E (for pentassarion)
AMNG I/1, 1209 (rev), AMNG I/1, 1206 (obv.); not in Hristova/Jekov; not in Varbanov (engl.), #2107 cites AMNG 1209
good F, overall roughness
ex coll. Hoeft

Note: The rev. shows the statue of the Sandal Binder of Lysipp. Sometimes called 'Jason' or 'Cincinnatus' in error. The correct interpretation as Hermes comes from a description in the Ekphrasis of Christophoros of Koptos.

This type is known for Philip II & Serapis (No. 6.44.10.3), but is not known for Philip I & Otacilia yet.

Caracalla, AD 198-217
AE 23, 9.57g, 30°
struck under legate Quintilianus
obv. PIOC AVGOVSTOC - ANTWNINO - C
bearded bust, laureate, r.
rev. VP K - VNTILILIANOV(sic!) MARKIANOPOLIT / WN
Eagle, wings opened, stg. frontal on thunderbolt, head l., holding wreath in
beak
AMNG 644 var.; Hristova/Jekov No.6.18.1.9 var.; Varbanov (engl.) 965 var.
F/about VF
ex coll. Hoeft

The die cutters seem to have difficulties with the name Quintilianus! Hristova/Jekov lists as No. 6.18.1.10  another variant KVNTIALIANOV, but the related pic shows in error the correct KVNTILIANOV!

So this coin is a new rev. variant!

Another variant of the governor's name:

Caracalla, AD 198-217
AE 26, 11.42g, 225°
struck under legate Quintilianus
obv. PIOC AVG AN - TWNINOC
head of bearded Caracalla, laureate, r.
rev. VP KVNTILLIANOV (sic!) MARKIANOPOLIT / W / N
Eagle with spread wings stg. frontal on globe, holding wreath in beak to r.
AMNG I/1, 643 (2 ex., Schmidt and Vienna); Varbanov (engl.) 963; Hristova/Jekov No.6.18.1.11 var. (has KVNTILIANOV!)
rare, about VF, elegant eagle!

And a last one with a wrong governor name:

Caracalla, AD 198-217
AE 28, 12.92g, 15°
struck under legate Quintilianus
obv. PIOC AVG AN - TWNINOC
Head, laureate, r.
rev. VP KVNTILINO(sic!) - V MARKIANOPOLIT
in l. and r. field W - N
Decorated table with blanket falling down in front (?); in the
background between two standards a stele on which an eagle is stg. l.,
looking backwards
AMNG I/1, 646 (pl.XIX, 33) (1 ex. in Vienna); Varbanov (engl.) 971; Hristova/Jekov 6.18.47.6 var.
Very rare, good F/about VF, green patina
ex coll. Hoeft

Here the name of the governor is KVNTILINOV. A new rev. variant!

Alexander Severus, AD 222-235
AE 26, 9.69g, 330
struck under governor Umbrius Tereventinus
obv. [AV]T KM AVR CE[V ALE]ZANDROC
        Head, laureate, r.
rev. HG OVM TEREBENTI - NOV MARKIANOPO[liT] / W - N (both OV ligate)
Homonoia, in long garment, stg. frontal, head l., holding cornucopiae in l. arm and patera
in outstretched r. hand (patera seems to levitate above her hand!)
ref. a) This die combination not in AMNG:
           obv. AMNG I/1, 1032
rev. AMNG I/1, 1025 var. (for legend, HG ligate, different break and 2nd OV not ligate)
                  AMNG I/1, 1033 (for depiction)
       b) not in Varbanov (engl.)
       c) Hristova/Jekov No. 6.32.36.11 var.
ex coll. Hoeft

Hristova/Jekov has bust draped and cuirassed, laureate r., and the rev. legend is equal to AMNG 1025. So it is a new die combination.

A new obv. legend for Septimius Severus:

1st coin: AE 27, 11.7g, 45°
2nd coin: AE 28, 12.92g, 210°

obv. AV K CEPTI - CEVHROC P (HR ligate)
rev. V I FAVCTINIANO - V MARKIANOPOLI / TWN

AMNG I/1, 569 var. (has AV KL CEPTI)
Hristova/Jekov No.6.14.36.3 var (has AV L CEPTI)
ex coll. Hoeft

The rev. legend with AV K CEPTI without the L seems to be rare. It is not listed in Hristova/Jekov at
all. Pick has only one type, AMNG I/1, 563, with Dionysos on rev.
The interesting ligate HR in CEVHROC I haven't seen before nor could I find it in any of my sources!

I think they are from the same dies.

A new variant:

struck under governor Julius Faustinianus
obv. AV KL CEP - CEVHROC
Head, draped and cuirassed, seen from behind, laureate, r.
rev. V I FAVSTINIA - MARKIANOPOL
Tyche in long garment, wearing kalathos, stg. frontal, head l., holding cornucopiae in l. arm and rudder

ref. a) AMNG I/1, 573 var. (has MARKIANOPOLIT)
b) Hristova/Jekov No.6.14.38.14 var. (has MARKIANOPOLI)
c) Varbanov (engl.) 767 var (cites AMNG)
VF, glossy jade-green patina
ex coll. Hoeft

This series is known for its various different legends. I have found:
VI FAVCTINIANOV - MARKIANOPOLITWN
                             - MARKIANOPOLIT
VI FAVCTINIAN      - MARKIANOPOLI
VI FAVCTINIA        - MARKIANOPOLIT
                             - MARKIANOPOLI
                             - MARKIANOPOL (this coin)

May be that there are more around. Why not VI FAVCTINIA - MARKIANOPOLITWN?

Best regards
