Agreed, it's a lovely piece. The Rome mint was firing on all cylinders for this Secular Games issue.

Added this Vespasian Mars reverse denarius. The dealer photo was over lit and over exposed.  Looked very shiny.  I was amazed when I got this in hand today.  Beautiful rainbow toning that usually comes from old collection manila envelopes:

Thanks! It's even nicer in hand.  It's tough to photograph the rainbow toning correctly.

Thanks!

Added something that has been on my wish list for a very, very long time.

Brutus gold stater with lictors:

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-134378

It's a most impressive specimen nearly UNC with loads of mint luster and almost perfectly centered.  I just can't stop holding it!  Tried various methods to photograph it and settled with this one as it brings out and shows all of the wonderful folds and feathers.  Enjoy!

It matches the denarius already in my collection:

For a great article on why this coin is Brutus and not some unknown Dacian King have a read here, it convinced me:

Hi Joe, I did use the numiswiki page to determine it was type IV but going further between type IV b or c but I'm still not sure.  I think a lot more research has to be done on these types because just like the article says, even dealers can't determine the difference sometimes.

I would attribute your siglos as Carradice Type IV A/B, Artaxerxes I - Artaxerxes II, c. 455 - 375 B.C.  I believe your coin was struck with worn dies, making it difficult to distinguish between IV A or IV B. I am confident it is not IV C.
