Gallienus with Luna Lucifera
« on: May 11, 2009, 03:58:46 pm »
Hello,

I need help to find a reference for this coin:

Billon denarius
Mint: Antiochia?
Av.: GALLIENVS AVG
Rv.: LVNA LVCIFERA

I have only seen this reverse legend with luna and biga on a Julia Domna denarius.

Regards

Hi kc,
your coin is RIC sole reign 646L (Asian Mint), Göbl 1664e (Antioch).

Great coin!

That coin was quite expensive, but must be worth it in that condition.  Very nice!
