Fake? No other information than that it is an ancient roman silvercoin

These kind of cracks formed during striking are often folded or oblique, and if the coin spend time in the ground, they will be filled with concretions.

At first glance nothing obvious condemns this coin.

This is a cast fake of a denarius with cracks that are filled during the casting process. Came in a lot of authentic coins I bought awhile back ago.

That albinus coin is an obvious cast fake. And not just because of the cracks and how they look.

I do not think there is anything in the photos to condemn the "Roman silver coin" in the first post. Nor is it possible to authenticate it. Few coins can be authenticated from photographs and we generally don't do that here.
