Presenting an Alexander Coin to Hercules
« on: September 26, 2023, 01:23:04 pm »
Next week, I'll be meeting with Kevin Sorbo (who played Hercules on a popular 90's TV show) and his wife Sam. Last year I got so spend some time with them in Israel and I promised him a coin of Alexander the Great which features the portrait of Hercules with the Nemean lion headdress. I've given a few ancient coins away through the years, but I thought this one would be extra special. Kevin is a good guy, and I got to spend a day traveling with him and his film crew as he was shooting a documentary. So, next week, he's getting a NGC cased tetradrachm at a luncheon where he's the featured speaker, and I get the privilege of presenting it to him. Just thought this was pretty awesome and wanted to share.

You sound like a big-hearted Herculean guy yourself. I think Kevin will definitely appreciate your generous gift. It is a pretty awesome gesture. Sometimes I feel like I'm in the company of angels. Thanks for sharing with us.
