A Pride Of Lions
« on: December 08, 2005, 10:28:01 am »
Hello All,
I want to share with everyone a small game reserve I am putting together and these two coins are my latest additions.

Leo AE4, 9 mm and 1 gram.
Obv: Uncertain legend, diademed and draped bust right.
Rev: Lion advancing left with head left within a wreath.
Ex: AL (E), unlisted in RIC.

Leo AE4, 9mm and .7 gram.
Obv: DOMNLE..., diademed and draped bust right.
Rev: Lion standing left with head right within wreath.
Ex: Uncertain.
The obverse legend is unlisted in RIC, but probably blundered.  The lion in my opinion is in great style for this series of coins.  It might be imitative, but I have my doubts.

Enjoy,
Kelly
