Philip Philadelphos tet reference/monogram help please
« on: September 23, 2008, 09:26:27 pm »
Evening all. I got this a couple weeks ago actually thinking it was another variety of Danube region imitation, but after posting on the ID board, it was pointed out that I was way off base and what I have is actually a seleucid tet of Philip Philadelphos and that I may have better luck with further id'ing here...so...help...please.  ;D

Thanks
Chris

Doh...that looks to be it. I must have missed it (several times!!!). It is even in RPC! (which I have!!) thanks again!

Chris

*note: As a matter of fact...technically this is a Roman issue according to RPC...I'll post more on it later today...for now my son and I have dentists appointments (I would rather be posting about this coin...trust me!!!)

(EDIT** https://www.forumancientcoins.com/board/index.php?topic=48146.msg300811#msg300811 I figured that since it was a provincial issue I'd put the info there.  :)  )
