"V" countermark on SPQR coin of Caesarea Maritima
« on: December 18, 2015, 04:44:18 am »
Hi,

I can't find similar countermark at on line resources. It is the second specimen that I have from the same area that carries such countermark. The previous one is worn, but it seems that the host is of the same SPQR-eagle type.

Is anyone can point on similar markings on provintial issues from Roman East?

Possibly Howgego 665, where listed as "A?".
