Fake in my opinion from the photo and description. If I recall the weight is around 17 grams. I'll look at the coin next week.

Does that mean that 'La Galerie Numismatique' is 'galnum' on Ebay?
If so, they have some pretty bad feedback for a 'real' auction house.

Mon Dieu ! In a Swiss auction to be held in NY ! And the problem is that the presence of a cheap repro in a 'prestigious' auction casts a doubt on their level of expertize.
I just notified them of the problem.

The Aemilian aureus is an obvious Slavei reproduction. I wouldn't have any confidence in their expertise after seeing that listed as authentic.

I've added the aureus (without naming the seller).

Why did you leave off the seller?

Because the point of the fake coin reports is to document fake coins, not to take aim at vendors who may have simply been mistaken in offering a forgery for sale/auction.

Roma Orbis advised them about problem, and fake coins are still there. If they don't remove problematic auctions on these days,is that mistake or intention?

Let's remember that these auction houses often take a while to react,
they will want to check carefully before taking that auction down/withdrawing the coin.
I also contacted them (by eMail) but phoning them might be better.
