Copper alloy; 43mm/19.0gm

The profile looks a bit like a dragon or possibly even a seahorse...?

The reverse is flat and hole at the bottom does not go all the way through.

Era and thoughts for its use are always appreciated!

Interesting.  Could also be a wold head design with some wear/damage.

That was what I was thinking, as well, but as the hole doesn't pass through the end,
I'm rather stumped as to how it would have worked.
