As for more standard models, several regular Macedonian issues have a Pegasos forepart as symbol.

Another (with horse left), in yet finer styleas is Ibanez’s.
I think almost surely Danubian Celtic – given the fine style of the dies. (?)

  That Zeus is absolutely beautiful.

   Best regards,

Hi ibanez,

your coin seems to be close to the "Audoleon-Type" middle Danube region/Matra hills, struck 150-100 BC, but with this small protome before, it seems to be a unicum! I´ll have a look in the refs and maybe I´ll find your piece.
Congratulations for this great coin!!

Tia,

your coin is from the eastern Celts, today Romania region, and it´s not similar with the coin ibanez showed to us!

You have a type "Zweigarm" struck arr. 200 BC and it is the predecessor of the type "Sattelkopf" ... the type "Zweigarm" is a development of the obverse of aurum stateri of Lysimachos!
Refs for your coin: Goebl OTA 296 Dembski 1209 Coll. Lanz Munich 589 (maybe same dies) Castelin 1314
A very nice and rare coin, too ... congrats!

Herfried

Hi ibanez,

before you ask for a value, we have to identify your coin first and make sure that it is NOT a fake.

Also we need two important things: please, give us the diameter and the weight for that piece (mm/grams).

ibanez,

I now have the think of an expert for eastern celtic coins, an he is sure that your coin is a modern fake!

It is an imitation of the type "Dreizack-Triskeles" (OTA 296) for the Obverse, but the Reverse is a complete new creation of the forger!!!

Oh, good!
Your friend should not take it!!

Can we take your pics and put them into the fake reports?

This coin is especially for beginners a very dangerous piece.
