real or fake 1/8 shekel?
« on: March 11, 2007, 04:18:52 am »
hey everyone,
here is a coin that I am considering, and I just wanted to run it past ya'll before I went for it.  There is no reason why it should be fake, but I am not such a good judge, so what do you think?
thanks!

Somebody asked about this coin on Ancients.info as well.  Salem wrote that it is authentic.  For what it is worth, it looks geniune to me as well.  In terms of worth, it probably lies somewhere between $100-$200 in terms of its condition.

I concur, this is likely authentic....script appears to be sound which is important.
