Request for translation help
« on: June 17, 2016, 05:24:31 pm »
This is an AE31, 10.2 Chinese coin I think an amulet/charm.  The obverse is ' Wan Li Tong Bao'- a coin of the Wan Li Ming emperor (1572-1620).   I don't understand any of the reverse legend.  I am not sure if this is a coin or an amulet.  Any help would be very appreciated.

Yes, Thank You.  I had figured out the symbol 'Four'.  Qian appears to mean 'wealthy or well off' , so I guess it means something like 'Four times wealthy in silver'  (?)

Hello, I didn't translate qian because it is a weight unit you can't translate directly. Same as mace.

1 Qian = 3.78g (originally, old value)
