PTOLEMAIC Drachm Alexandria Greek Coin, 285-250 BC.
« on: March 18, 2024, 05:19:48 pm »
This coin is about 35 mm in diameter and has a mass of 30.8 grams.  It is bronze and seems massive for its size and thickness.  It sounds like a hammered coin, not a cast coin.  There is no pitting or indented bubbles like a cast coin.  My question is - Is this a real coin or a fake?

I will send an obverse image, then the reverse.

It looks perfectly good to me--and I suspect everything.

I don't see any reason to be suspicious.
