Display Stands
« on: October 06, 2023, 03:38:10 pm »
Does anyone know of a source for the metal stands similar to the ones in the attached image?

I'm also looking for the three pronged acrylic stands to display things like oil lamps, etc.

Thanks!

Craig

Thanks Dominic.  I'll check them out.

I have been looking for a decently priced source for the stands with bendable arms - I think they are called armitage stands - for years with no luck.

For displaying my oil lamps, I found these on Amazon, in various sizes to accommodate multiple sized lamps.  I had actually been using these for some of my lamps, but had problems finding more.  Here's a quick picture of some of my lamps, showing them in use.

I have those stands, but what is decently priced? I think there is only one company making them. They charge what they can get.

Exactly.  There must be hundreds of factories in China that could make these stands - which can be just a plastic base with some special wire - for a few bucks each.  Instead there is one museum supplier that charges way too much for them.

The one I posted is $14. There are other similar stands also listed, but they are significantly more.

That's about half of what they used to be.
