Hi, all. I am having trouble finding a reference for this ring type. Part of the problem may be that I am not familiar with the terminology used to describe jewelry. I am not even sure what color to call it, in some light it looks reddish orange and in darker light it looks purple or violet. Any ideas of references for the dating would be appreciated. I found a nearly identical style of ring at etsy when I googled "bronze ring cabochon" but it gave no useful information on the possible origins. I am thinking 3d-5th Century CE. Nothing exactly like it in The Hendler Collection, nor at British Museum and MMOA. Thanks for any ideas. Jimi (V-drome)
