Byzantine Seal John Hypatos 7th/8th Century? 23.38 mm 15.40 g

I acquired a very nice Byzantine seal which measures 23.38 mm and weighs 15.40 g.  I believe that it solves:

Θεοτόκε βοήθη Ἰωάννῃ πατρικίῳ.

Theotokos, help John patrikios.

It appears to be circa 8th Century.  Am I correct as to the translation and dating?

Is the dating of 7th/8th Century correct?
