Coin for ID
« on: March 22, 2010, 05:25:53 pm »
Hello!

I found this coin yesterday in a field in Hampshire UK, and am at a total loss as to even where it comes from. Is anyone able to shed any light on it.  I have a number of pictures of it, but the best are ones I've adjusted to highlight the text. It is in reality a red (copper I oxide) colour, similar to Iron oxide, but is non-ferrous.

thanks,
Mike3Mike

The characters seem to be Arabic.
