Identifying design on ring?
« on: July 07, 2015, 02:58:37 pm »
Hi there,

Can anyone suggest what the design on this ring might be? I'm guessing (but I don't know...) that the imagery is somewhat formulaic so one of you experts might be able to suggest what this is intended to be? Apologies for the poor quality image.

[I don't want to influence you, because when someone says what they see its sometimes hard to unsee it but I think for what its worth that I see a victory...]

Victory holding a shield is my guess.  (The shield could be her wreath instead)

Could also be victory holding a trophy.  She is rarely portrayed holding a shield this high.  As Tom said could be a wreath too though a fairly big one.
