I'm still trying to get my mind into disposal mode, but after 36 years of collecting ancients it's very difficult. I've never really hoarded these coins, and every one was hand selected with love, regardless of price range. So which of your children do you sell first?
In any case I couldn't let this one go for mere fast-food money, and I didn't have an Aphrodite. I can resist anything but temptation!
However it is, as the old cliché goes, 'much nicer in hand'. No, really.  😉

Myślał Pan kiedyś, na ile Pana NIR wpłynął na zwyżkę cen monet?

Nie sposób tego ustalić, bo za dużo czynników gra rolę. Wystarczy, że dwóch zamożnych kolekcjonerów zacznie zbierać podobny temat. Pojawiają się mody, inflacja w ciągu 20 lat też jednak była etc. etc. Ważne jest też, czy monetę sprzedaje ktoś mało znany w jakimś kącie na eBayu czy też renomowany dom aukcyjny na aukcji obecnej na wielu platformach licytacyjnych.

Poza tym sam Pan pewnie wie z obserwacji, że zdarzają się dziwne skoki w górę i w dół. W wypadku odmian jakoś tam sporadycznie dostępnych można wyciągać średnią. A w tym wypadku są to w większości monety rzadkie. Na przykład tej z tego wątku nigdy nigdzie indziej nie widziałem, więc mógłbym tylko fantazjować na temat możliwej ceny.

I'm thinking it was due to the Social War.  Mainly because Romans at the time were supposed to be proud of their Sabine heritage, and the war was potentially divisive in the Roman population given it was a regional conflict.

Myślał Pan kiedyś, na ile Pana NIR wpłynął na zwyżkę cen monet? 650 funtów to już trochę jest, nawet przy obecnych, wygórowanych warunkach rynkowych.

Czy 20 lat temu ta moneta osiągnęłaby podobny pułap cenowy (oczywiście pomniejszony o jakiś-tam średni wzrost cen monet antycznych w tym okresie)?
