This is a coin from my university museum's
collection. At first glance it looks
fine, but there's an odd dichotomy between the perfect sharpness of much of it and the very worn condition of the rest of it. Then there are the blundered legends: 'II' for 'PF' on the
obverse and I don't know what for 'REPARATIO' on the
reverse. It almost looks as though it was
tooled by someone who didn't know what was supposed to be there. But who would bother tooling a bronze like this? Am I just paranoid?
Opinions please! (Not on my paranoia, on the coin!
