Bronze Ring - Inscribed with?
« on: June 20, 2016, 09:49:37 pm »
Hi all,
Recently I bought this bronze ring... I'm not sure why I bought it... I guess it was interesting, cheap and I'd been drinking wine.

Anyway, the seller didn't provide any information other than it was a metal detecting find and it was maybe inscribed "memory."

My questions are...

- is the inscription really "memory" and what language? Maybe Russian? I've tried to translate across some languages and haven't hit on an answer yet.
- Any guesses on age or culture of manufacture?

Thank you for any information you can provide!

Josh
