Caracalla As OTD

I would like to share a most excellent addition to my gallery, a Caracalla As with Radiate Lion Holding Thunderbolt. This is one of the nicest examples I have seen. I waited a long time for the right one to come along. I hope you all enjoy seeing it. Thank you for commenting.

Another excellent coin ancientdave! Looking at the excellent portrait of Caracalla and the image of the advancing radiate lion, it's hard to decide who is the more menacing! Knowing something about Caracalla from the ancient historians, that is probably exactly what he wanted.
