Hi !

Many of this coins belong to me.
Unfortunately, this site is not ready yet.
I'm working on filling the information and functional improvement.
If you have questions, suggestions about the site, you can send them to me.
Also, if you have quality images of coins of Trebizond, can give them for posting on the site. I will be glad.

Best regards, Vitaly

Thanks for the information. I did not know this.
Maybe I'll put on FORUM mirror of my site after completion of works.
The content of my site is not limited to coins of Trebizond.

It would be nice to see the weights where you have them.

Incidentally brightening the images can make quite a difference. (I used FastStone for this).

One point of some interest with these Trebizond trachies is the fact that, as far as I can see, they all seem to be single struck (although of course most of these types are fairly small). This contrasts with regular Byzantine trachies which are normally double struck.
As readers may know, this is a key point of significance in the debate over whether certain scarce types (including S.2597-98) can be assigned to Andronicus I Gidon of Trebizond, as Simon Bendall has proposed.
