Ptolemaic OTD

Well, this is not my usual type of coin, but I just had to have this one.

Ptolemy II Philadelphos. 285-246 B.C. Æ 25 mm (11.78 g). Sidon.

OBV.: Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon right.

REV.: ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ
Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, wings spread. Filleted double cornucopiae in l. field.

SNG Copenhagen -; Svoronos 761.

P.S. Collector's Superstition of the Day: I have learned, from experience, not to show a coin as a CoTD before having it in hand.

I can well understand you, I wouldn't do it either. Don't sell the bear's skin before the bear is dead.
