Question about the authenticity of the patina

If you don't get an answer, it may be nobody knows from the photos. I don't. But maybe someone knows.

"Desert patinas" are really very common. Original dirt IS much more common than glued on dirt. The value of the coins probably does not justify the effort of adding a fake earthen patina.

These have a genuine "desert patina" but have had some cleaning done.  You can see the the actual dark patina has been rubbed away on the highlights.  Also the sand has "pulled away" from some of the letters.  This is a sign that it was soaked in water and then rubbed to remove the top layers of dirt and reveal the details.

Genuine, but could have been cleaned better.

Still nice coins.
