Beautiful Barbaric Tetricus I antoninianus
« on: August 20, 2022, 09:19:06 am »
Hi all,

I'd like to share this barbaric imitation of a HILARITAS AVGG type of Tetricus I (RIC 80).
These imitations aren't particularly rare or special, however i find that this one is of quite higher artistic quality than is normal for these imitations.
Maybe engraved by a former official mintworker? The obverse and reverse show spelling mistakes though, so that kind of debunks that theory.
In any case, a beautiful barb!
