A prehistoric settlement of around 10 circular wooden houses on stilts has well-preserved artefacts following a devastating fire less than a year after it was built, about 2,850 years ago.  It is being called Peterborough’s Pompeii because the sudden disaster has left an interesting snapshot of domestic life of the time.
