I recently had the luck to be able to visit the current exhibition - Legion: life in the Roman army at the British Museum. I took some photos to give an idea of what was on display and have uploaded some to my gallery.

I have a long close relationship with the Triassaria of Markianopolis. I am all the more pleased to have discovered a new variant that is apparently unpublished.

Moesia inferior, Markianopolis, Diadumenian as Caesar, AD 217-218
AE 26 (Triassarion), 7.99g, 25.56mm, 180°
Obv.: M OPELLION ANTWNEINON KAICAR
           Bust, draped and cuirassed, seen from behind, bareheaded, r.
Rev: MARKIANO - POLEITWN
         Artemis as huntress, with boots, in short hunting dress and with nebris, r., hurrying r., 
         holding bow in her outstretched left hand and with her raised right hand drawing an
         arrow from the quiver over her right shoulder; at her feet the hound leaping right (only
         remnants visible)
         Gamma in the left field
Ref.: a) not in AMNG
         b) Varbanov 1314 (wrongly quotes AMNG 788)
         c) not in Hristova/Jekov (2014)
         d) not in Pfeiffer (2014)
         e) not in Megaw (2014)
         probably unpublished

This type is more common with the legend M OPELLION ANTWNEINON KAICAR with ligated NE. The E in the lower right field is the front part of the dog, which jumps to the right.

I came upon these as part of a larger, mostly Roman Provicinal lot. I've become completely stuck trying to ID several of them, and aren't sure about several others. Hoping the forums can help share some light on these.
What legends are visible appear to be in Greek.

1,2,4 Judean Prutahs or procurator coins?

5. Uncertain, possibly a Dolphin motif

6. Uncertain Indo-scythian? Octagonal

7. Augustus with Tiberius (Macedon?)

8. Kings of Albania?
