Help Trajan Decius
« on: January 05, 2008, 03:05:40 pm »

Hi

Trajan Decius  Antoninianus
IMP. C. M. Q. TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG., his laureate, draped and cuirassed bust rt. / PANNONIAE, The twin Pannoniae standing side by side, the lt. holding a standard.

I found this type only Gold Aureus (RIC 22) here:

Hi

For me it is RIC 23 (rarity: R2). On reverse two Pannoniae look left.
Very nice coin (the obverse is better).

You can find this type of coin on this site:

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I think, in fact, the RIC number will be the less rare 21b  ; Roma mint ; 3rd-4th emission ; 3rd officina ; 250 CE
The two Panonniae look in opposite direction and they both hold a standard (less visible on your coin, Tanit, but real)

Best regards
Smendes

Yes, you are right. I looked at these photos again and I think that this coin maybe RIC 21b.

Please, look on this coin (for me it is similary to Tanit' coin):
