Hi all. Here is a coin that I think is from Caesarea. My main concern is that I can't remember finding it, so it may have been a gift to my father at some time. At 15.68 grams it is on the heavy
side for the
type (usually 10-13gm). There is a very similar one in the
fake reports, listed as
Maurice, but clearly inscribed DN hRACLI PP
AVG, that was a modern
cast at 15gm. This one does not appear to be
cast,
nor overstruck on an earlier coin. Any opinions would be appreciated. I really have no other reasons to suspect it, but if necessary we can move it to the
Fakes Board for more opinions. Thanks, Jimi
