Copper alloy, 39mm including loop/19mm for the dangle/ 2.0gm.

Well, it's looks like an earring to me and Sheri concurs...but what do we know.

Roughly 9th - 11th century.

Not specifically Byzantine but the whole of the Balkans and East Europe - so Byzantines, Slavs, Magyars, etc.
