Greetings all, I have an unusual half ring shaped gold ingot w/ flattened stamped ends. It was in a plastic cover labeled "Feudal Japan Circa 1820 Akita Province Very Rare" but I'm not sure I trust it. Now I'm at a loss. Any idea what this or where the marks are from?

Measurements: 23.2mm x 17mm or 7/8" x 5/8", 6 grams.

Thanks,
K
