Sabines Denarii - Why minted 89BC?

I have an interest in the Sabines denarii.  Eg

Does anyone know why these coins were minted in 89 BC?

Was the minting influenced by the Social War in that year?

I'm thinking it was due to the Social War.  Mainly because Romans at the time were supposed to be proud of their Sabine heritage, and the war was potentially divisive in the Roman population given it was a regional conflict.
