To jest doskonały temat do dyskusji (a pewnie i na jakąś małą pracę naukową) - jakie mechanizmy decydują o tym, że poszczególne narody budują swoją tożsamość na tych, a nie innych wydarzeniach czy mitach. Rumuni jak widać sięgają do historii rzymskiej, Hiszpanie chyba nie dostrzegają swojej wizygockiej przeszłości, Ukraińcy w dużym stopniu budują swoją tożsamość na banderyzmie, z kolei Francuzi od czasów rewolucji odcinają się od swojej królewskiej historii. Jakieś piętnaście lat temu byłem we Francji i odwiedziłem bazylikę Saint-Denis. Zszokowało mnie to, co Francuzi zrobili ze swoim "Wawelem". Bazylika Saint-Denis to pierwszy gotycki kościół i miejsce pochówku królów Francji liczonej jeszcze od czasów Merowingów. Wydawało mi się naiwnie, że miejsce to powinno być otoczone wielką czcią, a państwo powinno na nie chuchać i dmuchać. Gdzie tam. Kościół był otoczony jakimiś arabskimi targowiskami i blokami w stylu Gierka, w środku groby poniszczone jeszcze w okresie rewolucji francuskiej, a turyści raczej przypadkowi. No przykro było patrzeć. Dla porównania, w reklamowanej i pięknie zadbanej Sainte-Chapelle w Paryżu - dzikie tłumy, trzeba było stać w długiej kolejce aby się tam dostać.

Here's a sneak peak at a coin I'll soon feature in a dedicated post to the consecratio coins Caracalla issued in honor of his feather's deification.  I have one more en-route to photograph to finish the full denarius set (I don't have the one Aureus issue)

It's taken me about 5 years to actually find all the examples for sale in acceptable condition - some of these are really rare, including this eagle reverse, but standing on a thunderbolt instead of a globe.

To my eyes, it appears to be a Celtic quinarius.  Possibly the Sequani Tribe.

I'm glad you liked my labels. In my collection, I've opted for traditionalism. I wanted the coins to be described in the same way our predecessors did 100 years ago, dipping a pen in ink. Besides, I think it's great fun.

Your coin is very worn, so it is difficult or even impossible to identify symbols on the reverse (helmet, wreath, monograms etc.)  .

I missed this story last year. Not just a cool box, it incorporated lead pipes that carried away heat, making it an actual refrigerator.
