History and Archeology / British Museum - my trips
« Last post by maridvnvm on Today at 10:16:22 am »
I have been fortunate enough to be in London several times over the last couple of years with time on my hands. This has meant that I have been able to spend a lot of time in the British Museum. I have created a gallery with a selection of photos that I have take there. I have started with a focus on Roman sculpture but with a few random other bits.

I hope that there is something in there of interest....

There is one sculpture in particular that has caused me to send in a query to them:-

This sculpture is attributed as Septimius Severus but screams Clodius Albinus to my untrained eye.

The coin looks strange, but I suspect it is probably due to the photo being taken with a camera that adds a lot of digital artifacts (maybe a digital zoom was used here).

Can you post another photo that will look more natural?
