It's surprising such a provenance was able to remain undetected like that. Congratulations on the fantastic addition to your collection!

Thank you! Honestly,  I was a bit surprised myself! But I was able to confirm from a current cataloguer at Schulman that the piece is indeed from the Royal Cabinet and was auctioned by them in 1971.

Auction photos have come a long way!
