as this is a worn looking coin, but as I came from the UK reported as a UK detector find.......
it has been looking weaker as I have been treating it for a bad case seemingly of BD. I thought I would at least capture it on film, and feel lost on attribution.

16.52 grams
29mm

any thoughts on portrait recognition

I agree with guy something like this from coin Archives, no gaurentees but it looks similar.
Commodus. AD 177-192. Æ Sestertius (21.99 g, 5h). Rome mint. Struck AD 178. Laureate head right / Libertas standing left, holding pileus and scepter. RIC III 1588 (Aurelius); MIR 18, 427-16/30; Banti 195. VF, attractive olive green patina.

Good Luck
Pete
