Hadrian Sestertius OTD
« on: October 04, 2011, 08:45:22 pm »
Here is my latest acquisition, a Hadrian Sestertius with Minerva reverse. I'm excited as it's my first purchase in 6 months. My coin budget is pretty limited, and I am cursed with a taste for slightly higher end coins, so I am still learning the art of patience. Quality over quantity, I literally have to chant this mantra to myself at times.  ;D

Dave, if you're going to purchase a nonFlavian coin it should be something exceptional...and you have succeeded in spades! What a gorgeous coin.

Your mantra of quality over quantity is one I try to adhere to as well...with varying success. lol

A nice addition to your fine collection! A noble portrait, well centered and a very attractive patina!

The coin did not come with any vitals, and I've yet to have the chance take them myself, I'll post when i do.
