I am interested in learning more about 11th and early 12th century copper coins from Trebizond and Northern Syria (including Edessa). Even though these locations are fairly far apart, there seems to some confusion when attributing coins to one or the other area. See for example: https://www.persee.fr/doc/numi_0484-8942_2017_num_6_174_3360 . Is anyone familiar with An Introduction to the Coinage of the Empire of Trebizond? Or is there another book that is recommended? Thank you.

Simon Bendalls book is really what the title says, an introduction. The book is very small but it has enough detail to cover 100 coins and give a great overview.
I believe is was his last book or near his last.  It goes for around $30.00. If you are just starting to learn about Trebizoid coinage it is an excellent source.
