Brooch or not?
« on: May 23, 2017, 10:26:00 pm »
Hello everyone, I found this bronze item last fall while metal detecting.

The design reminds me of some Roman brooch designs I've seen in the past, but then again, it could easily be something else entirely.

Note the 10 euro cent for size reference. Thank you in advance for your help!

I know what you mean by it looking a bit like a brooch part but no, I do not think it is.  I think that the similarity to the head of a brooch is just coincidental.  Not exactly sure what it is though.
