Size and weight? Cross and script both mark this as medieval at earliest, perhaps an Italian or Iberian issue.

A better image of that reverse would be helpful -- a cross is a fairly generic type!

Perhaps cross pattée / lion rampant, right; although those are both fairly generic MA-types, the script looks to me (barely) postmedieval.
