« on: April 25, 2018, 05:03:47 am »
Hello!

I am a beginner numismatist therefore I have a problem with identification some Greek coins. Could you help me with identification these coins and tell if they are authentic?

Kind regards,
Paweł

Thank you for your reply. The first coin is 11 mm in diameter and weights 1.37 g. The second one also is 11 mm in diameter and weights 0.57 g. I can't measure and weight the last one now.

As per the list rules, you should only post one coin per thread.

In any case, the last item is a fake.

The first coin is from Rhodes, Helios/Rose.

The second on is from Tarentum or Herakleia, Athena/Herakles and lion.

The last one is supposed to be a tetradrachm from Leontinoi but it is a clear fake.
