It is a Geloan tetradrachm, Jenkins Group II, early 5th century BC.  These are nice but there isn't anything particularly special about it.

However, below it are two Syracusan Dekadrachms, and from the looks of the photo, they are really nice ones.

Yes both Dekadrachms are exquisite, still i wouldn't turn my nose up at any of the coins.

The Ashmolean is a wonderful museum. I do not remember seeing any coins when I was there 20 years ago, but I do remember the "Alfred Jewel," said to be made for Alfred the Great.
