I recently brought this
Alexander coins, but the description was not the most descriptive, could anyone
help me identify this exact coin? I do have
Price Vol 2 but I find the images quite hard to identify as they are small and without much detail compared to modern digital images. As a
side note, I am not sure if this coin is authentic but it is possible that just have more wear than I am used to as it seems to lack detail. Do you think this could be from sand casting or another forgery technique? The
weight seem ok, maybe very slightly less than
average but pretty spot on and the
diameter also seems very
average. If you believe it is not authentic, please let me know as I am learning. Looking forward to posting more in the future.
