II.  Darius I - Xerxes I. c. 505 - 480 BC.  BMC Arabia, p. 173, 185 ff.; SGCV II 3428; Klein 754.  Kneeling-running figure of the Great King right, bearded, crowned, wearing kandys, quiver at shoulder, drawing bow.  Rare.

     III B.  Xerxes - Artaxerxes I, c. 485 - 420 BC. Drapery in double fold at knee.

IV. Darius II - Darius III.  c. 420 - 330 B.C. SNG Kahan 1033 ff., Rosen 674 ff.  Kneeling-running figure of the Great King right, crowned, wearing kandys, with quiver, dagger in right, bow in left.

     IV A.  Xerxes II - Darius II. c. 455 - 420 BC.  Long beard.

     IV B.  Darius II - Artaxerxes II. c. 420 - 375 BC.  Coarse style, long beard, v-shaped folds on front of kandys.

     IV C.  Artaxerxes II - Darius III.  c. 375 - 330 BC. SGCV II 4683.  Finer style, long beard, sometimes annulets on kandys.

     IIIb (early).  Xerxes - Artaxerxes I, c. 485 - 420 BC.  c. 5.55 - 5.60 g.  No pellets, no quiver.

     IIIb (late).  c. 5.55 - 5.60 g.  SGCV II 4683.  No pellets, no quiver, loose drapery with curving folds

IV. Darius II - Darius III.  c. 450 - 330 B.C. SNG Kahan 1033 ff., Rosen 674 ff.  Kneeling-running figure of the Great King right, crowned, dagger in right, bow in left.

     IV (early).  Xerxes II - Darius II.  c. 450 - 420 BC.  c. 5.55 - 5.60 g.  With quiver, tight folded drapery on legs.  Earliest with stiff figure, shapeless body completely lacking a waist, and often a symbol in reverse incuse.

     IV (late).  Darius II - Artaxerxes II. c. 420 - 375 BC.  c. 5.55 - 5.60 g.  No quiver, v-shaped folds on front of kandys, loose drapery with curving folds and sometimes annulets.

     IV C.  Artaxerxes II - Darius III.  c. 375 - 330 BC. SGCV II 4683.  Finer style, long beard, sometimes annulets on kandys.
