[CORRECTION]. RIC gives for this type obv. legend 8a which is not listed on p. 528 where only variant "8. No legend" is attested (see CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 528). In "Reference" two specimens are cited: one of them is from Hirsch auction ("Hirsch, xxiv, 2646). Additionaly, in "Addenda and Corrigenda" on p. 718 RIC gives description of new, separate type (THESSALONICA 220A) cited after Wiener Numismatische Monatshefte ("WNM 1866, pl. i. 7"). In fact both types are identical (so THESSALONICA 220A does not exist). Note also that there is a typo in Hirsch lot number (should be 2648).
