RIC VII, AQUILEIA 110, CRISPUS, OSTIAN MINTMARK AND UNLISTED BUST TYPE [IRREGULAR COIN]

OBVERSE	C-RISP-VSNOBAES [CRISPVS NOB AES (sic!)]; bust l., laur., cuir., spear pointing forward, shield on l. arm.
REVERSE	CAESARVMNOST[ROR]VM [CAESARVM NOSTRORVM]; laurel wreath enclosing VOT/X. Branch on both sides. MOST in exergue.
NOT IN RIC	OSTIAN MINTMARK AND UNLISTED BUST TYPE. Specimen somehow similar to AQUILEIA 110 except for unlisted bust type (see CORRIGENDA, VOL. VII, p. 405) and strange Ostian m.m. (mint at Ostia was closed in 313 and transferred to Arles). Note also an error in obv. legend: ...NOB AES instead of ...NOB CAES and a very light weight. Obviously an ancient imitation but quite unusual.
