UNLISTED OFFICINA - B. RIC lists for this extremely rare type only officina A (p. 706; see also the relevant picture on plate 24). Note that authenticity of nearly all Valens' coins could be disptuable. Some ALEXANDRIA 19 coins from officina A have been identified as so-called "Geneva forgeries" (see: R. A. G. Carson, "The Geneva Forgeries", Numismatic Chronicle 1958, pp. 47-58). See also another forgery of ALEXANDRIA 19, off. A (withdrawn from CGB Monnaies 59, lot 436, 2.78 g, 21.5 mm).
